The Short Version

Your files never leave your device. All file conversions on FlipFmt happen entirely in your web browser using WebAssembly. We do not upload, receive, store, or process your files on any server. We have no ability to see your files.

What We Don't Collect

• Your files — they are never transmitted from your device
• File contents, names, or metadata
• Personal information such as name, email, or account credentials (we have no accounts)

What We Do Collect

We use standard web analytics and advertising services that may collect limited, non-personal information:

• Google AdSense: We display ads via Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ad Settings.
• Server logs: Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. This data is used for security and performance purposes and is subject to Cloudflare's privacy policy.
• Real User Monitoring: We use self-hosted analytics to monitor site performance and improve the user experience. This collects:
  • Page load and resource timing data
  • Browser type, screen size, and operating system
  • User interactions (clicks, format selections)
  • JavaScript errors
  • Session replay recordings of your interactions with the page (mouse movements, clicks, scrolling)

  Session replays do not capture file contents, keystrokes in password fields, or any data from the file conversion process. No personal information is collected — sessions are anonymous.

Cookies

FlipFmt itself does not set cookies. However, third-party services (Google AdSense, Cloudflare) may set cookies for advertising and security purposes. Our self-hosted analytics may use local storage for session tracking. You can manage cookie preferences in your browser settings.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Cloudflare Pages — static site hosting and CDN
• Google AdSense — advertising

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

Data Security

Your files are processed entirely in your browser and never transmitted to any server. The conversion code (WebAssembly) runs locally on your device. Once you close or refresh the page, all file data in memory is discarded.

Anonymous usage analytics (performance metrics and session replays) are transmitted to and stored on infrastructure that we own and operate. This data does not include file contents or personal information.

Children's Privacy

FlipFmt does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
